I re-watched the Miracle movie Saturday and got a little choked up. Could not help but think of the Saints - it's the journey not the destination.

I suppose it really depends on your personal perspective as to whether it is the greatest upset ever. I guess the majority rules.

I've heard this before...and I suppose that if you are really into hockey, then it has more meaning...but as a kid from down south who has never touched a hockey bat (j/k...I know it's a stick), it just doesn't hit home to me as much as the Jets win in SB III.

I guess it's because I live for the NFL, and personally have never attended a hockey game and besides those games during the 80 olympics, I have never sat through an entire hockey game on TV.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

I think a person is more into sports that he played. I don't know how you got involved in hockey being from MS, but I'd be interested in hearing it. As a kid growing up in Gulfport in the 60's and 70's...there were no hockey teams anywhere that I knew of. I don't think we even had ice rinks in malls back then. Actually...we only had one mall...Edgewater.

I used to feel the same way LB. Then we got a Central Hockey League team here in Shreveport. I love to go to the games. My kids love to go to the games. The fans are truly rabid. It's as much fun watching the crowd as it is watching the game. You really need to try it some day, and you have to go more than once. It really is a lot of fun.

That truley was one of the greatest upsets ever, the USA team had no business in winning that game but somehow just found a way. The scary part was that Soviet Ice hockey became even better after that.
