Attn: Cold War Vets
If you served between 1945-1991 you are entitled to a Cold War letter of recognition for your service. If you are still in the military you can also wear the Cold War Medal but not at Federal events. If you are in the National Guard however you can wear it at guard events in La. The letter though can take over a year to receive.
Cold War Medal I got it just because I think it's rather silly, no disrepect to those who served, but a medal for a quasi war is a bit of a stretch. I just want to put it in a box with my bronze star and purple so someone can get a good laugh when I croke. |
