Soccer fan dies after reportedly staying awake for 11 days to watch Euros
 

A Chinese soccer fan died at his home after going 11 nights without sleep as he watched every single Euro 2012 game from Poland and Ukraine.
Jiang Xiaoshan died from exhaustion June 19 after reportedly staying up every night to watch the Euros with his friends.
After watching Italy defeat the Republic of Ireland, the 26-year-old fan went back to his home in Changsha, took a shower and fell asleep. Xiaoshan never woke up.
Sources claim that the combined effects of alcohol, tobacco and sleep deprivation were to blame for his untimely death. Xiaoshan's friends were left shocked after learning of his death, stating that he lived a "relatively healthy life."
It is not the first time fans have suffered health issues watching international tournaments from different time zones. Several people were admitted to hospitals during the World Cup tournaments in 2006 and 2010 due to exhaustion.
Because of the time difference, all the European Championship games are played in the middle of the night in China.

Because the biggest wuss in all of Hockey would beat the livin' hell out of the toughest soccer player on earth.

Well this is accurate...

But seriously folks...

I don't know how long a Soccer "pitch" is, but it's long...like, really long, and the goalies just stand their and pick their noses for most of the game because only a precious few seconds of a game have any action that is even remotely close to a goal, and 99.999999999999999999999998 percent of shots at the goal fail most miserably.

Soccer sucks monkey nuts.

So I guess you guys don't like soccer? LOL!! Without soccer we wouldn't have had "The Great Dane" Morten Andersen, he was soccer player first like most kickers.

And when he left soccer for the NFL he reduced the avearge toughness of both sports.:p

To be fair, there is one thing that's pretty cool about soccer:

It actually sucks AND blows at the same time.
