Hockey - the only sport with less teeth than a Tennnessee homecoming game. |

Timmy's is like Dunkin Donuts here. Their every where.
( you can walk into any Canadian ice rink today and I guarantee 95% of the patronage in there is going to be holding a Tim Horton's cup, and the other 5% is either thinking about it or they've just thrown one away ... no kidding ) I know this to true to. |

... it must be a regional thing because Dunkin' Donuts pretty much closed up shop in SE Michigan once Tim Horton's started coming around ... there's one, maybe two, I can think of still in operation ... not that I wouldn't patronize Dunkin' Donuts, just the main attraction for me with Timmy's was they had soups & sandwiches whereas Dunkin' Donuts did not and I was always over in Ontario anyway. I have noticed DD revamping their menu the past few years to compete. They should do a reality show on 'Donut Wars',
![]() ... well, I pitched good product, service to the community and the undying loyalty of millions of Canadian consumers to the brand, if that doesn't get you on board, IDK what else to say other then try it for yourself, ![]() |

... first time I ever tried a Krispy Kreme, I did think it was the greatest donut ever made, but after a few more times, it was just too much ... they've tried to open a few of them around here ... they start out like gangbusters ... long lines, busy ... but don't have the staying power of a "Timmy's" and wind up closing.
SloMotion's Donut Power-Rankings: 1) Tim Horton's 2) Dunkin' Donuts 3) Krispy Kreme honorable mention: a) the topless donut shop in Lake Worth, FL (closed by the health dept. in the mid-'80s) |
