I had a few people tell me if you call and complain(say you're going to cancel and expect a long wait), they'll discount your monthly bill for a few months and give you free NFL package for the season.

Which is significant, Sunday Ticket ain't cheap! |

Great, I just dropped Dish because of them doing the same thing with other channels and got Direct TV, WTF.

Well, I called DirecTV yesterday and used the Viacom thing to leverage a GREAT deal on Sunday Ticket.
Yes, I know. I dropped it when all the bountygate stuff started, but I got a fantastic deal on it, 10 more bucks off my bill for the next year, a free whole-home DVR service for a year. They'll get the Viacom thing figured out in time, plus they just added Disney Jr which completely thrilled my kids. And I'm currently enjoying a week of MLB Free Preview too. DirecTV is a good company. I've been with them since December, 1999. Anybody thinking about it ping me and we can both get 10 bucks off our bills! |

My daughter is loving Disney Jr. as well. Still, plenty of quality shows on Nick Jr. that I would like to have back.

I didn't want to drop DirecTV anyway. They've been good to me over the years. Once Nick Jr. is back, all will be right with the world... |
