Re: The Muslims are not happy....
I just watched Bill Clinton on CNN explain how Bush got it right and how the current administration should do more.
Of course the interviewer kept the focus on how he thinks Romney's policies wouldn't be good enough. At any rate, what Clinton said, in essence, was this: We cannot force peace on them. They have to want it. What the United States should do is make peace attractive. Short of putting more (read "real") military pressure on them - an approach I would support fully should we actually stop using our military through a politically correct approach and instead went in with the idea of actually winning as quickly as possible, something we certainly could do - considering all the evidence before us, I think it's safe to say Obama's policy of sympathy and tolerance has failed. Do "I" blame the mess that is the middle east on Obama? No. However I recognize his end game - a theory that by chopping off American Superiority and bring America down, more closely to their level, they will be less hostile toward us. This is wrong. This will not work. This is 100% unAmerican, and, to be honest, considering everything we know, it's more than ignorant. It's stupid. It's dangerous as we have recently observed. Obama has taken sides. You won't read it in his quotes and you won't hear him say it. He's far too slick. You will see it in his actions, because he can't hide that. Unfortunately, he doesn't have to hide it because more and more American's are not educated enough themselves to grasp it. At the end of the day, the middle east issue is pretty simple. Oh, the talking heads will go on about oil. They'll talk about (at least lately) recognizing terrorist leadership as legitimate. We are, right now, in the process of removing the terrorist label from a group in Iran who is known to have killed Americans. I know. Amazing. But this administration is hell bent on tolerance and it's wrong, and here's why. Because they don't care. They don't want us tolerant. They want us subservient at least - preferably dead. For so long as we continue to support Israel there can be no peace. The real truth is even if we were to walk away from Israel we will be viewed the same. Obama is loathe to proclaim any open support for Israel's challenges, undermining decades of a partnership with perhaps our only true ally in the region. Obama truly believes the terrorists have a legitimate point. Once again, you won't hear him say that. However if you observe his actions and know enough about his history you can see it - clear as a New York morning on September 11th a few years ago. This is why people like me stay so frustrated - because all one really need do is actually pay attention. |
