Bikini Basketball League Gearing Up For Inaugural Season
To all fans of the Lingerie Football League who are wondering about what they will watch when the season ends, you can stop worrying. The Bikini Basketball League is here.
The league consists of seven teams -- the Chicago Desire, the Orlando Lady Cats, the Miami Spice, the Los Angeles Ice, the Hollywood Hotties and the Atlanta Fleet Angels. Tryouts have already taken place in the different cities, and the league will get underway in the summer of 2013.  "This is a competitive basketball league, so we are definitely looking for girls that can really play," Miami Spice representatives told the Miami New Times. "It is also a bikini league in which the girls will be playing basketball in bikinis, so looking good in a bikini is a must." While it certainly has taken its share of ridicule, the Lingerie Football League has actually produced some highlight-reel plays. Plus it has gained attention for hosting its Lingerie Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday. No word on whether the Bikini Basketball League's Finals will coincide with the NBA Finals. But with a summer schedule planned, the league will be going head to head against the WNBA. Link Back | |

... what'll we watch after basketball season? Any plans for a Bikini Ice Hockey League?
It's poor planning to have this league go with a summer schedule and head-to-head with the WNBA ... bye-bye WNBA, if you had to choose, what game do you think your basic sports fan is going to watch? |
