There are some pics I took after a storm. All of are the Western sky, but the third. That is what the Eastern sky looked like behind me. Dramatic difference. I took these with a cheap digital camera, so they definitely aren't professional.

With a different cheap digital camera, I went out to a local park and hit the hiking trails. I was in search of the one particular tree in the woods, because it fascinated me. This tree had bent or fallen at one point and completely hollowed out in the trunk. However, there was one stalk that never gave up. It sprouted from the side and had to have made it a least 50 feet tall. Those pics will be in the next submission, but here are some of the pics I took that day.

Here is the tree I was speaking about. I took a few shots from different sides. The first you can see a lot of where the trunk has hollowed out. the 2nd is a front shot to give an idea of the branch that never quit. It doesn't do it justice, because I could never get a good enough shot to show how high it actually went. The third intrigues me a lot, because it is somewhat shaped like the head of a duck.

Good shots Danno. In that first set I really like the last one. In the second 3and 7 are really good and the tree is amazing. I've never seen something like that.

Re: Paste your favorite pics
Good pictures require a good subject... That requires a little vision.
An amateur with a $2000k camera set on auto is not as good as a professional with a $500 camera that knows the correct settings. |
