Ahhhh. The Phoebe Cates scene. I was a prepubescent at that time, but that was the first time in my recollection that I had a "strange feelings" about the opposite sex.

And speaking of Nick Cage, Valley Girl, and the Phoebe Cates scene. Nick Cage's first movie right before he did Valley Girl was Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He still went by Nick Coppola then.

Wow really? I've seen Fast Times a million times (ok maybe only the swimming pool scene a million times) and i dont remember seeing him in the movie. What part did he play?

Couldn't believe it myself, he's listed as "Brad's Bud" on IMDb. That & the fact he starred under his real name 'Coppola' are going in my own personal database of useless trivia I use to impress at parties,
