My kids & I took a trip there sponsored by my daughter's school in '05. It was the best trip I've ever been on and being a 'school trip', the emphasis was on learning, so it was extremely informative.
The biggest thing that struck me was how small the historic Rome site really is. You would think all those historic buildings like the Colosseum were miles apart, but they're really all within walking distance to each other. |
