My son's best friend just got one of those ... it was a fun afternoon setting 'em up with a BZO and explaining to them some of the finer points of that weapon ... memories,.

"Third Herd", ... yeah, I got mad for some reason or another a few years back and put a few manuals like that I wish I woulda' kept online for sale ... managed to keep these though, :) ... good thing too, I forgot how hard it was for people (especially lieutenants,) to grasp the "clear, front sight tip" concept and these manuals cover it pretty well ... those were the days, <sigh>.

They're ya' go ... much better and easier to understand than the drawings in the manuals ... saving that pic for future reference,.

Isn't the aim a little low nevertheless?

Yes, but the point is that you focus on the front-sight post tip and not downrange at the target. Once you have that 'clear, front-sight post tip', you adjust on target while maintaining it. It's a simple concept, yet hard to explain without a picture like that, but you can always tell when a shooter finally gets it.
