Should I Buy A Passat?

this is a discussion within the Everything Else Community Forum; I must apologize for missing the point of the OP's post, along with his personal situation. Seems I was distracted by news of a terrorist bombing in my hometown blaring across my screen at the moment of my initial response. ...

Yep the Fusion is a top 3-5 car in that class. The US has made some serious serious strides during the last five years. Caddys can brawl with anything the Germans put out. They just arent as fine tuned and polished. The attention to interior, yet more reliable. I simply prefer the Maximas right now. Id like an Infiniti, but insurance costs makes me want to puke up here. I get pissed when I see one pull up next to me at the light. Buicks have always been nice. Just not for me. There's nothing "wrong" with any mid-sized US car that I can think of this year.

Imitating my game is the most sincere form of flattery.

Ahhh ... that must be that "advanced European engineering" I always heard so much about. I think they used to say you could go 10k miles between oil changes as well, with all the synthetic oils being used today, but I think that's more about the oil then the vehicle.

Can you get 91 octane? I only see 87/89/93 at the pumps.

Yeah I see 91 some places - 93 at others. Either way it's well over 4 bucks a gallon.
