This cover evokes thoughts/observations on media coverage I used to have while living overseas. Images like that are included in daily publications all over the world except in the US. I used to think of it as "sensationalism in journalism" until I came to realize that it was just part of daily life in those countries and how insulated from the rest of the world we, in the US, really were.

One of the goals of a terrorist, international or domestic, is to inject fear into a population & force a change in the way they do things. They want you to feel their pain, whatever that may be, and live in fear. The US has really never had to experience that.

I view that cover as a "wake-up" call.

Never been a fan of sensationalism in journalism, but given the images we have all seen from this event, this picture is very moving but remains benign.
