That sucked! I remember I had a Dodge Coronet 440 back in '76 that only got 8 mpg and gas shot up to $1.55 a gallon ... and the minimum wage was only something like $1.10, .

One day after little league practice I went to spend the night at my friends house. His mother drove us home, and she stopped to get gas and there was a 5 gallon limit.

She got back in the car and said, "Five gallons. FIVE GALLONS?!? Five gallons won't even move the damn gauge!"
