Rockford files!!!

My friends swore I was a twin of Jim Rockford (James Garner) in my late 30's. I'd forgotten all about that.

One day after little league practice I went to spend the night at my friends house. His mother drove us home, and she stopped to get gas and there was a 5 gallon limit.

She got back in the car and said, "Five gallons. FIVE GALLONS?!? Five gallons won't even move the damn gauge!"

5 gallons wouldn't have moved the needle but $5 would have filled the whole damn tank.

And one of these for the lawn mower

1978 Formula Firebird 400
http://i.imgur.com/xW4IoFg.jpg

My brother-in-law bought his in 1978.
My dad bought it from him in 1987 for me to drive.
I drove it at the end of high school thru college at LSU until about 1992.
Sold it to my mechanic in Baton Rouge because it ate way too much gas on the trip back and forth from New Orleans to Baton Rouge!
