Viral video - FedEx Toss - gets employee fired

This went viral...

I have a problem with that video over sensationalized because those packages probably contain paper or something superficial. My former employer would overnight an entire box wherein there would be a single plastic part or 1 page memo.

The response...

How is the video over sensationalized?

IMO, it doesn't matter if they contained a single sheet of paper, grass clippings, etc.

Firing the driver may have been a bit much, but with virtually every cell phone having a camera, delivery drivers need to keep that in mind that someone with the capability of recording them is always around.

She was probably fired to make an example.

Exactly ... political correctness strikes again. Seeing the customer's lack of concern of damage to the contents by throwing boxes into the van as well, tells me the she was probably only guilty of unorganization & sloppy housekeeping.

But now the big question ... with an arm like that, do you bring her in for a look?.

Alright, ill interject some reality, and comment on Halos "over sensationalized" comment.

1. See the guy helping her throw packages into the truck? That is the customer, FedEx drivers travel 1 to a truck. He threw some also.

2. If FedEx terminated every employee for tossing a package there would only be USPS and UPS, and if every courier was terminated for tossing packages

3. That driver is a pick up driver, she has x amount of hours to hit 30+ businesses and pick up over a hundred packages and if she took time to hand stack each package Pick Ups would be missed. Mind you... She has to scan each and everyone of those before the puts them in the truck.

4. She tossed those packages 8 feet, In the morning when cans are being emptied and drivers are trying to get out of the sort facility ASAP a box like that can be thrown 30 feet to a driver trying to leave.

5. Halo is on point, not a thing in those boxes was damaged.

6. My guess is the guy filming that works for UPS

* I have worked the sort at the sort facility and was a pick up driver for FedEx, did exactly the same thing unless a package is marked fragile, and never had a damaged package.
