Lazy azzes don't show up for work on time 1/2 the time anyway.

If you want $15/hr.... Learn a trade. Those are jobs for kids and never intended to support a family.

Ill vote for a $1/hr pay raise when they can get my order right for 6 months.... Until then I'm not touching it.

And it should be against the law for ANY fast food joint to call themselves a restaurant.

If the food isn't served on plates, with metal utensils it isn't a restaurant.

What about chinese restaurants where you eat from bowls and with chopsticks

I guess part of the problem is these economic times where jobs are few and far inbetween. People will take whatever job they can find and all of a sudden its not only "kids" working there anymor but adults that need to support a family.

That is the picture being painted. However the classifieds of every city in this country are full of employers looking for people.

On any account that job is a $7.35/hour job, at best those jobs give 23hrs/week. They are not full time and that figure of $30k/year is not a realistic figure. These are part time jobs that are filled in bulk because of the reliability of the class that fills them. When Barry doesn't show up on Saturday morning because he is hungover his shift is only 4.5 hours and easy to cover. Perhaps you think we should also make these part time positions full time so we can meet our coverage needs with 10 employees instead of 20 and dump 1/2 our workforce?

Neither financial stability or the jobs market health are burdens of the employer.

Seriously.... What's next? We dictate how many employees an employer must employ to lower the unemployment numbers?

Well, probably yes. Why do you think Andrew Stern, president of the SEIU, visited the White House 22 times in the first two years of the Obama administration. They would like nothing more than to unionize fast-food, then they can dictate how many people it takes to flip a burger. At that point fast-food will be anything but fast.
