Swedish Championship game 2013

I wanted to share this with you guys:

The Swedish championship game (SM-Final XXVIII)was played yesterday.
My old team, the Carlstad Crusaders won for the 4th straight year. It was played in the newly built Tele2 Arena in front of a crowd of 4000. That is the highest number in atleast 10 years. The same arena will stand host to the world championships in 2015 so having the championship games there in 2013 and 2014 are a part in starting to build interest around the sport.

4-in-a-row? That's a 'dynasty', my friend ... they allow import players in that league? I wondered after that interception early on ... 'Lewis Walker' sounded like an import-player name.

It is a dynasty. From 2002 to 2009 they had 7 losses in the final game, I was a part of them in 2004 and 2005.

We do allow import-players. There can be 2 North American on a team and an unlimited amount of players from other countries. To get around this fact some teams employs American players with dual passports. Yesterdays loosing team had 6 imports for example. A Finnish, a Serbian, two US and another two US, one with a Nigerian passport and the other with some European one.
