Re: International Olympic Committee opens doors to American football

If it is not 11 man football is not American Football and the NFL season has not deviated from its Aug to Jan block since its creation in 1920. It also has to remain where it is due to working around MLB and sharing stadiums.

Anyone see a starter going to the summer Olympics and risking injury and his lucrative NFL contract?

The largest hurdle to overcome is location. You cant lay out an NFL field on Tuesday then roll it up for track and field on Wednesday, and have a soccer match somewhere in between.
