It's harmful, but probably less so than any other drug I can think of.

Alcohol isn't nearly as harmful if you don't drive while intoxicated or constantly drink in excess.

The jury is still out on how harmful the long term effects of pot are.

It's well known that long term use of marijuana causes psychoses and permanent paranoia. That's been known for a long tome. Suspect it's worse since levels of the active drug THC increase year after year.

Medical meditation. Had a extreamly good friend die of brain cancer a couple months ago, loved the man like a brother. The very last time I talked to him his words were" Don't let anyone tell you pot don't help it's the only time I have any relief at all ". Him being diagnosed with terminal cancer and him telling me all the pharmicutical drugs, oxycys and such not working there is a place for everything.

I'd say it's good-to-go for chronic pain, absolutely...I have studied this aspect considering I "dabble" in the legal herbal stuff and have talked to my Pain Management doc who claims that in moderation (like with anything) Miss Mary Jane could help ease the burden of my chronic pain.

Since I am a DoD employee, I cannot partake in even prescription marijuana. But I would most definitely do medicinal marijuana over freakin', flippin' hydrocodone. I can be a zombie sometimes and my brain can't...what's it called? Think. There it is.

Pain Management doc claims that this regiment of hydrocodone will be part of my diet the rest of my life. The long term effects of this crap versus the long term effects of marijuana?

I'll take marijuana...with all the Taco Bell and Cheetos you can shovel through my front door, please. After the DoD, of course.
