Re: Beer Appreciation
Tried a beer from New Orleans this weekend. Was a beer by Abita Brewing Company called Purple Haze. Had raspberries added post filtration so had a really nice pink hue to it. A lovely easy drinking ale.

Re: Beer Appreciation
Purple haze isn't bad at all but i prefer the Abita amber. Lately I have gone all hipster and only drink IPAs.

Re: Beer Appreciation
The bottle shop I go to has a good range of Abita, including the Amber. Might try one of each.
I love a good IPA. Had Sixpoint's Global Warmer on the weekend. Big fruity aroma and was nice and easy to drink (even at 7%). Do you have a favourite IPA? |

Re: Beer Appreciation
I sure have. I prefer the scottish Punk IPA.
Most beers they produce are excellent. Buy Punk IPA | BrewDog Beer I also fancy some local Swedish IPAs. |

Re: Beer Appreciation
I love the Punk IPA. I bought a case of it a few weeks back. All gone now lol.
Their Hardcore IPA is amazing too. If you haven't tried their Jack Hammer, do yourself a favour. |

Re: Beer Appreciation
So many tried, so many want to try, impossible to list.
Just found a Bar in Pensacola, FL that has 112 beers on nitro taps. Tried a Kentucky Bourbon Stout that was awesome. I drift toward Porters and Stouts lately, not a big fan of real "Hoppy" brews. |

Was that Kentucky Bourbon Stout you tried from Goose Island? I had their Nightstalker Stout while in NYC a year or so ago. Was amazing. |
