Re: David Bowie passes at 69

Though I’m past one hundred thousand miles
I’m feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much (she knows!)
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit’s dead, there’s something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear....

Re: David Bowie Dies at 69

Imagine if Bo Jackson came back from injury, led Oakland to a few Super Bowl wins over Dallas and San Francisco, then got 3 more Super Bowl wins with a few other teams, and finished top 3 in all time touchdowns and rushing yardage and yards per carry.

If you're not familiar with music, this is who David Bowie is. The G.O.A.T. recording artist.

First Lemmy now David Bowie, the world has lost two geniuses of their respectful genres. Bowie brought joy to my childhood as the Goblin King in Labyrinth and then as a adult with his amazing music. Oh how he will be missed. RIP

Re: David Bowie passes at 69

A true pioneer ahead of his time. I think he, the Talking Heads, the Kinks, and a few others were bands that inspired the whole New-Wave / Alternative / Punk movement of the late 70's and 80's.

Not to mention he helped quite a bit in general acceptance of what, at that time, was considered kind of "queer" for lack of a better word.

RIP David Bowie.
