The company actually split a long time ago when they sold the auto-division to Ford back in 99. Ford was a horrible owner (just like GM and SAAB) which eventually opened the door for the Chinese.
The trucks are still the core business for the Volvo group with the brands Volvo, Mack, Renault, Eicher, Dongfeng etc. And like you said, glad it wasn't sold to the Chinese. |
