Pure luck running into this. I had absolutely no idea they do this in the MidWest. Since you live there, you must share with the group your experiences with this strange form of entertainment.

I've lived here for 25 years but still call SW LA 'home'. Closest I've ever come to freestyle canoeing was fur trapping out of a pirogue to pay my way through college. I didn't have any background music though.
