In need of help

Hi folks. First off, if its inappropriate for me to post this here I apologize and understand if it gets removed. It's just that I don't do social media, so this is the only place I could think of to share this.

As some of you may know, I'm married and a father of 7 children. Over the last several months we have fallen on hard times financially. I work, but my job doesn't pay extremely well, and hours during the spring and summer are hard to come by. My wife is in college and taking night classes, so getting a second job isnt really an option right now. I have been and am still searching for a better job, but my options are limited because I will also be starting school next month. I'm not the type to go looking for a hand out, but I'm pretty desperate at this point. So I've put aside my pride and started a GoFundMe. Anything that anyone can give helps, and if you can't give then please consider sharing it. Here is the link: gofundme.com/f/4aaq8f-family-in-need

Again, I apologize if this is inappropriate, and if it has to be removed I won't be upset by it.

It's a struggle for my family as well these days, with high monthly bills and medical and consumer debt. Sending you best wishes and hope things work out.

Re: In need of help

No worries on leaving this here.

You may want to try social services. The size of your family more than qualifies for benefits.

My grandson works in the restaurant biz in Laffy. These businesses have hours that can benefit crazier schedules. In college I loaded RPS (now Fedex Ground) trucks. It was crazy hours then, beginning at 2AM until 7 AM. UPS and Fedex have terminals in Laffy. I'd do UPS over Fedex based on my previous experience as a transitional job. Unless you want to drive trucks for UPS. That's a good gig with benefits. A friend of mine did that long ago and never looked back.

I also work in the restaurant industry in Lafayette. Problem is that they just don't pay well enough, even for management. I will definitely give UPS and FedEx a try though. If they can work with me around my upcoming school schedule I'm willing to put in the work. Thanks for the suggestion Smash.
