According to the university's website announcing the grant award, many anecdotal reports of the afterlife abound, but there has been "no comprehensive and rigorous, scientific study of global reports about near-death and other experiences, or of how belief in immortality influences human behavior." The research will look at a range of phenomena, including heaven, hell, purgatory, and karma....

Sounds rather interesting, if perplexing. Not sure how you figure out the afterlife without ... well, dying. Maybe they're gonna do some "Flatliners" kinda stuff ...

God wouldn't show you heaven and hell if it wasn't a real death.

If the people who say they saw heaven ACTUALLY SAW THE REAL HEAVEN like they say they did, they would be depressed to come back here and probably even commit suicide. God wouldn't show it to them for that very reason.
