Re: For fans of the Star Wars saga...
Is there a 7th book? IDK, Disney does some big things but I'm not sure if I want to see them producing a StarWars sequel ... of course, we'll probably see a well-endowed, cartoon version of Princess Leia (along the line of Pocahantas, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Snow White, et...), so it won't be all bad.

Re: For fans of the Star Wars saga...
I was a bit skeptical about the acquisition, too. The only thing that eased my mind is that Disney put out the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and a few of the Marvel comic movies since they bought them out and I really liked all those (and I'm not even a comic book fan).
From what I've been hearing on rumors concerning Episode 7, they are supposed to be focusing on Han and Leia's children, and I'm assuming they will be the next wave of Jedi. It would be funny if they still used Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as Han and Leia and centered around their actual lives. Their kids would be putting Han in a retirement home and Leia in rehab. Now that I think about it, even though the purchase is a new development, Leia, by proxy, becomes the best Disney princess ever. |
People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Re: For fans of the Star Wars saga...
I love the first three Star Wars, at least until they messed them up with the retarded computer graphics that they added later, graphics that obviously don't belong. If they continue the tradition of adding unnecessary computer graphics and creating annoying caracters like Jar Jar Binks, I will NOT go see it.

The only one that was good was Revenge of the Sith where you could tell Lucas was forced to write something good because his entire geek army was crashing down on him. The prequals are the prime example of when someone does everything in their power to gain 1000% control over their own project where they distance themselves from all critique and criticism for their work. So they buy everyone out to make this "masterpiece" that was never completed because people were just too "mean" for critiquing their work. The final product looked like the end result of "yes men" telling Lucas everything he ever wanted to hear. Made you understand why the first 3 movies were so good - Lucas was unable to put a product on the lens that was as ignorant as Episode I or Episode II. By Episode III, he might has well have called it "the apology" or something as it too was full of stupid dialogue, but the story was the best he wrote since Empire Strikes Back. |

Ugh, do we really need more? Wish they'd leave well enough alone, I think I'm getting sequel-itis.
