Playoff Pickups
For most leagues the playoffs are about to begin, this week or next. That being said, most leagues are also dispensing the last bit of waiver money, and several people are looking for their last long term adds. These are just a few people to look for if you need a boost for your playoff run.
Tashard Choice RB/DAL - Last week he proved himself by running from the number 2 spot and gaining 100 yards on 19 carries with a TD. Felix Jones still has the lead role, but look for Choice to get 8-12 carries a game moving forward. James Starks RB/GB - Brandon Jackson has failed overall to take the strong lead role in the Green Bay running attack. James Starks could be a breath of fresh air to the stifled backfield. 73 yards on 18 carries isn't entirely impressive, but McCarthy's promise to share the backfield with him is. Brian Westbrook RB/SF - We've talked about him already, and after his lackluster performance last week, most are questioning the large waiver deposit they made on him. The air around San Fran. is that he is still the number 1 guy moving forward. If he is free in your league again, or still, try grabbing him. Earl Bennett WR/CHI - Lovie Smith now says that he may be the "go to guy " in Chicago and looks to have uprooted Hester as the number 2 receiver. While it pains me to say this, it looks like Chicago is only getting better, and Cutler is finally playing decent ball. Grab him if you have any injuries or need help at WR. Benjamin Watson TE/CLE - The case is simple with this one. He is getting the most catches of anyone on the team. If you need TE help, especially in PPR leagues, well, this seems to be your guy. I'll update this more tonight as I find more injury notes. |
