Re: My FF Team
If Ogletree turns out to be another Laurent Robinson, then you should be in good shape. Romo has been lobbying for Ogletree to get a roster spot and more playing time... so you know there has to be some strong chemistry there(especially after last night).
Keep your guys, it's a strong team. You can always find break out(out no where) receivers via the waiver wire every year. I don't know what's on your wire but guys like Amendola and his counterpart Steve Smith(the one that caught 100 balls when he was healthy) could be helpful in a PPR. |
Keep Wayne,he is going to rack up the catches this year.

Re: My FF Team
I just Jetted Wilson and Driver and picked up Collie and Redman.
|
Re: My FF Team
Refreshed:
Starters: QB - Drew Brees WR - Marques Coleston - Austin Collie - Robert Meachem RB - Darren Sproles - Pierre Thomas TE - Jermicheal Finley K - Stephen Gostkowski D - Baltimore Bench QB Andrew Luck RB Beanie Wells WR Mario Manningham TE Greg Olsen WR Devin hester RB Isaac Redman |
Re: My FF Team
You're going to need some help 626. PT is a good 4th runningback in a PPR. I'm going to assume Mendanhall isn't there for a stash either. Collie is a concussion away from calling it a career and while I'm pro-Meachem, still an iffy 3rd WR.
You're going to need Brees/Sproles/Colston to do some heavy carrying. Finley is a solid bounce back candidate. |
Re: My FF Team
If you've got room on your bench for a unknown with the possibility of a huge upside. Justin Blackmon is sitting on a lot of waiver wires.
Mike Mularkey made Roddy White what his is. Well, not the jackwaggon part, White did that all by himself but the 180 receptions/season part. Stories on the interwebs say that Mularkey is trying to run the same style offense in Jacksonville. That makes sense, Gabbert was very skittish last season. Quick timing routes over the middle can help keep the pressure off of him and let him build up some confidence. Blackmon could be the benificiary of that style game. The offense they showed in the preseason looked very similar to what the dirty birds had been running. |
Re: My FF Team
Mendanhall? What is PPR? Mendenhall is not available... What have is the best of whats left.
I know about Collie but was a trade up from Donald Driver I thought. I am waiting to see how some players pan out the first two weeks. I an good at QB Blount, Helu, and Ryan Williamns are available for Backs I am Sucking hind t1t on WR's. Best available TE Best avaibale Kicker Best available Defense Last Year I had: Brees Jordy Nelson Steve Smith lance Moore Sproles Ivory Jimmy grqaham Mark Ingram Aaron Hernandez Breaston Forte' Kasay San Francisco - D New Orleans - D And won the league  |
Re: My FF Team
Points per reception.
Your team from last year is wayyyyyyyy stronger than this one. I'd pick up both Williams and Helu. Either Wells or Williams will emerge and give you a starter. The same goes with Helu and the stable of Redskin runningbacks. Helu is the most talented of the bunch. Redman and whichever receiver you least like of your two bench options could hit the road to accomadate them. |
Re: My FF Team
I'd drop Beanie and get Ryan Williams. He's going to be the starting RB not Beanie. Some sleeper potential Wr's are Amendola, Cobb, both Baldwins (KC & Seattle). Your RB depth is not great. Do as above. Also look to see if Royster(Wash) or Brown(Colts) is available. Depth in RB wins fantasy..to easy of a postion for injuries and you never know who is going to go off..I.E. Demarco Murray last year (before he got hurt of course).

Re: My FF Team
Thanks! made a few changes..
Brees Coleston Collie Baldwin Sproles PT Finley Gostknowski Baltimore BN Luck Olsen Hester Maningham Redman Williams PT should have a good game against Wash so I am going to leave him in this week. Who would have a better week? Manningham against Greenbay Or Collie against Chicago? I am thinking manningham? |
Re: My FF Team
What the? Don't drop Wells... not until Williams actually locks up the starting role. It could be the other way around and you're in the same predicament. Hell even if Williams gets the starting role, there still be be a good split for Wells with goal line touches. That makes him more valuable than Redman who is behind Dwyer and Mendanhall when he's fully healthy.
Austin Collie (concussions) did not confirm that he's been cleared to play in Sunday's opener. Coach Chuck Pagano declared Collie "full go" early in the week, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Collie has practiced in full and looked good. But he stopped short of declaring he'll definitely play against the Bears, instead saying he's just taking his situation day by day. It suggests that doctors still haven't cleared Collie to play in a game. We should know more after Friday's practice. Source: Indianapolis Star |

Re: My FF Team
... I had Meach to start with.... Figured Rivers would air it out to him a few times.
Yep.. Doug Baldwin from Seattle I kept Collie thinking Luck would use him a bit. |
Re: My FF Team
Crud... have to wait till the waver period is over... to get Meachem back
|
Re: My FF Team
Doesn't really matter now... he's already cut Wells. Smart play would have been to keep both until it sorted itself out.
Must be getting a boat load of points for return yardage because there's really no reason to keep Devin Hester on your roster. |

Re: My FF Team
Martellus Bennet NYG and Ed Dickson-Bal both just came available TE
present TE are Finley- GB and Oleson- Car .... I appreciate the help guys... being new to F and a die-hard Saints fan.. I know my team but not really up to speed on the rest of the league. |
I'd stay with what you have.Bennett is too inconsistent IMO and Pitta will split time.Olesson will be the top TE as far as I'm aware and the Panthers don't have a clear cut 2nd receiver so he should get a fair few looks.
I'm only playing my second year of fantasy so no expert. |

Mine was a fluke... was laughed at because I had 70% saints... Auto draft from list. Didnt realize I could sub from my bench until week 4, didnt know I could trade until week 6... won the championship LOL... And while my team was very strong at the end of the year... My initial draft did not allude to that. Graham was not the beast in 2010 that he was last year Ingram was not the beast i expected Ivory didnt have the year I expected Sproles did a hell of a lot better than he had in previous years |
Re: My FF Team
Well this was my team after the draft.
M Vick A Bradshaw R Brown H Ward S Moss Z Miller J Stewart T Jackson A Smith A Armstrong T Heap D Henderson A Vinetari Packers D 14th out of 16.Terrible,i hadnt been watching football much for a few years and i didnt know half the players. |
Re: My FF Team
Ouch lee... you should have probably auto-drafted then. That's really really ugly.
You only have two tradable commodities(Vick/Bradshaw) and even if you moved them, you're not going to fetch much in return to improve your team's overall makeup. |

That was my first ever fantasy team, just a shame it was last year. This years teams(11) are on the first or second page. I'm only in the habit of making a idiot of myself every couple of years. |

QQ... Is there a one stop shop for FF info? Stats etc? Favorite site? Even if it is a pay site.. i am a stat whore anyway and love them so I would use it for more than just FF. |
Re: My FF Team
This site may be of some use
Free Fantasy Football Cheatsheets & Rankings - FFToolbox.com You can enter the scoring system into the boxes and it will rank the players in a draft order. I used it to check some of my rankings, especially in IDP leagues. |

When FF time comes, look for concensus on given players. It happens all the time where one writer may think Turner is done and is going to have a bad year. Then you see on another site or 2 that they think he still do good with less touches this year. Go with the majority and go with your GUT. The more years you play, the better feel you will get. This year I did something different. Before my $ league draft, I drafted, on ESPN, 18 fantasy teams, 2 different accounts of course. I did this for 2 reasons. I wanted to get a feel for how to draft in different orders. I also wanted to see the tendencies of other people drafting. |

It'll let you import your team, 1 for free, and it uses a consensus of between 11 writers for some things and 60+ writers for rankings. And you have favorites you can filter which writers you want them to use. |
This year(my second) I entered 12 teams and did a fair few mock drafts.
Every draft is different but you get a good feel of how to draft. In general I left WR till later, even if you miss out on the very top WR the second tier options I was getting are the likes of Colston,Marshall etc even later the likes of Decker,Antonio Brown are still there. Compare that to RB tat after the top 3 everyone has a risk. If I could get a top 5 QB I'd try and get one and the best RB in the first two rounds then another RB/WR depending on who was available. TE not worth touching before the late 2d early 3rd for me.You are missing out on QB/RB otherwise and it's too much of a loss.Id rather get Fred Davis/Jason Witten and a top QB/RB than Graham/Gronk and end up Green-Ellis because the top backs are gone. |
Re: My FF Team
Laurent Robinson worth picking up over Austin Collie I assume..
Some assh0le got up at 230am to steal Meachem before I could at 315 LOL |
Re: My FF Team
I have a chance right now to pick up toby gearhhart.
