Re: FB Fantasy Friends Official Thread
QB1 Aaron Rodgers
QB2 Carson Palmer RB1 Marshawn Lynch RB2 Steven Jackson RB3 Ben Tate RB4 Robert Turbin RB5 Ryan Williams WR1 Brandon Lloyd WR2 Pierre Garcon WR3 Titus Young WR4 Justin Blackmon TE1 Antonio Gates TE2 Greg Olsen K1 Matt Prater DEF Houston Texans I'm already in a conundrum. It doesn't look like Marshawn Lynch is gonna play. My choices are... 1) Robert Turbin is his back up and supposed to be very good. But he's playing against the Cardinals Def which was really good at stopping the run last year. 2) Ryan Williams, Beanie Wells is gimpy and may not play. I've read Williams will become the starter over Beanie if he stays healthy anyway, they'd just like him to get more experience. 3) The Texans announced Foster is questionable for the Dolphins game. If I were sure Foster wasn't going to play this is my choice. The Dolphins were great against the run last year but Tate is a great RB. If Foster is out, I'll play Tate in Lynch's place. Even if Lynch plays I'd be afraid they put him on light duty. If Foster is not inactive but Lynch and Wells are, I'll play Ryan Williams. I like him against Seattle's run defense more then Turbin against the Cardinals D. If Foster and Wells both suit up but Lynch is inactive, I'll play Turbin. It's a tough start but I've read he's a very good back. At WR, I've bought into the Blackmon hype. I'm starting him instead of Titus Young. Blackmon is going against Minnesota's Def. Minny has a good run defense and with MJD limited, I think Jacksonville will try to lean on their new rookie wideout and see what he can do. At TE, I'm playing Gates until he drops but I'm going to keep an eye on Olsen. The putty tats have sounded very confident in him and said he could be in the same class as Graham and Gronk. I don't believe that for a second but without Shockey there, I think he could easily be the number 2 receiver behind Smith. At QB it's Rodgers vs. Palmer. Hmmm...tough decision. I think I'll go with Rodgers, just a hunch. I'm playing Voodoodio this week. He's got a good team. Hopefully I don't get blown out by too much. |

Re: FB Fantasy Friends Official Thread
That's a good point. The Texans will probably be playing with a lead early in the game, looking to run as much clock off as they can. They'll probably want to use Foster as little as possible to reduce the soreness in the knee.

Offense
Passing Yards: 1 point per 25 yards Passing Touchdowns: 4 points Interceptions Thrown: -2 points Rushing Yards: 1 point per 10 yards Rushing Touchdowns: 6 points Receiving Yards: 1 point per 10 yards Receiving Touchdowns: 6 points Fumble Recovered for TD: 6 points Fumbles Lost: -2 points 2-Point Conversions: 2 points Starting Roster Positions & Roster Limits Quarterback: 1 Running Back: 2 Wide Receiver: 3 Tight End: 1 Kicker: 1 Defensive Team: 1 Bench: 6 Not such a big scoring league for QB's, so hopefully just having Eli & Alex Smith isn't gonna kill me! |

Re: FB Fantasy Friends Official Thread
I'm with Lee, I think you gotta run with Tate this week.
Sure, Foster may play full-speed & blow the place up, but that's fantasy! You can only make your most educated guess, and that seems to be Tate. I like Blackmon at WR, too. ... but what do I know, I started Eli & Nicks!!! |
