Re: 2019 season
I'm in auction. Went with a new strategy this year. No WR1. Took the best slot WR's; Christian Kirk, Ridley, Golden Tate**, Larry Fitzgerald. Also took Boyd, Watkins and Mecole Hardman.
I did this after learning 46% of the top 10 WR's don't put up similar numbers the following year going on like 10 years now. A lot of the WR1's are also old as dirt. Massive risks with injury, losing a step. No thanks. Fitzgerald is old but, he is a slot guy now. Jerry Rice put up over 1,000 yards at the same age in the exact same role. I think Fitzgerald is going to shock a lot of people. They are going to lean on him in garbage time on that bad team. They also want him to get more records. The best slot guys though are fairly consistent. They might not put up over 1,000 yards but they normally get close or barely hit it a higher percentage of the time. I love MT but his numbers are going to drop a bit. Saints are stacked with better receiving talent and looks like they want to throw to Latavius some, something they didn't have with Ingram being out for a while. |
