Well, 84 degrees today, but hockey is upon us. The west looks good, and I don't have high hopes for the orange and black. Lack of depth hurt last year, and I don't see much changing. Lot of good young players, so who knows?

Yep, "it's on!" ... I'm usually listening on the radio during the early season while the NFL is going on ... my boys opened up against the Sabres (I love being in the East, ) ... Ryan Miller (Buf) is a Michigan native and has a brother (Drew) skating for the Wings, so that was kinda' neat.

Finally the new season has started. I've been really busy lately, which is why I've been rather absent from these forums as well, but to add to the already busy daily schedule there's now all these NHL games.

I don't know how many games I'll be watching this season, but I'll at least try to continue with my tradition of watching all of the Sharks' games and then maybe just catching couple of others now and then, when and if there's an intriguing match up.

Anyway, I hope we'll be treated to a magnificent season of hockey, and I hope the best for your teams... it's easier now in your case SloMo when Detroit is playing in the East and most of my preferred teams play in the West.

Yep, "life" does get in the way, plus the way they overlap MLB, NFL, NHL schedules, for me anyway ... good thing games are still broadcast on the radio. We're pretty casual in here and it is an NFL message board after all, any and all input (at one's discretion) is appreciated, .

speaking of the MLB Slo, which I almost never do (for obvious reasons), my Bucs are looking pretty good! More October wins than the Steelers.

Boston is scaring the crap outta' me though ... Pirate bats are looking better then Detroit's, beat the Cardinals! I hate St. Louis!
