I know I told you I dropped my cable ... so now I get Flyer games on Sunday afternoons (NBC) pretty regularly. Don't always watch 'em, but yesterdays Flyers/Bruins match up is a classic, so I settled in to watch.
Saw Lecavalier get his 400th,
. Nice goal, used the defenseman to screen the goalie (Rask) and fired a wicked wrister for the tally ... scored in the last 30 seconds to tie it up as well. Wasn't as physical as the Philadelphia/Boston games used to be,
, but still a lot of good hockey.
Classic example of why I hate the shootout, though ... and maybe it only comes up when the team I want to win loses in the shootout ... but I'd much rather see them go to additional overtime periods with 4-on-4, 3-on-3 and even 2-on-2 if necessary. Or do it the International way, where you can use the same guy more than once in the shootout ... anything than what the NHL is doing now, IMO.
