I have only managed to watch 2 games so far, Sweden - Czech Republic and today the game between the US and Russia.

I have to say I am utterly impressed with the US victory. I thought Russia would win it, they have such a great team. The US goalie is a monster thou and the kid scoring all those penalty goals sure is something else.

Well, it didn't turn out so well for team USA in the end...

Congrats on the silver medal Crusader - there's no shame in losing to a team with a roster like Canada had.

Congrats to finland on the Bronze medal. They played a great game.

No shame to lose to a team with a roster like that if you atleast try to win. Sweden played horrible thou.

I was a bit surprised at how lack-luster their efforts were to begin the third period... it did seem like they had already given up even thou it was "only" 2-0 at the time.

Apologize for the late post & missing the show, but congrats to you guys on your countries medaling, ie SWE - silver, FIN - bronze ... I dumped my cable television prior to Sochii (what was I thinking?) and for some reason, regular broadcasting seemed to show an inordinate amount of Biathlon, which I like as well, . Getting spanked by Finland so bad in the Bronze Medal game kinda' hurt, and for sure a disappointing loss in the Semi's to Canada ... but yeah, their (CAN) roster was stacked.

My biggest regret was that Johan Franzen (DET) wasn't able to play for Sweden ... I'm in the "the greatest honor in sports is to represent your country" camp ... there's always a lot of griping in the US & NHL about having to put the season on hold and taking the risk of injury to star players, but it's only once every four years and personally, other than the banging that goes on in the NHL, international hockey is more fun to watch, IMO.
