Pred's pulled it out ... <whew> ... down 3 games to 1 and heading back to Nashville ... I heard it all yesterday, "they're too old", "they're not hungry", "they look tired", "Howard needs to steal one (like Ozzie)", "We need an enforcer" ... it's a bunch of bull.

The Wings are doing all they can, when the pucks aren't going in, you just keep putting it on the net until something falls ... as they are doing. They're controlling the game and getting their chances, they're not 'slow', they're not 'tired' and we don't need an 'enforcer' ... Howard's playing well in net, Ozzie never 'stole' one - he had great teams in front of him and we're not getting pushed around. We're getting beat by Rinne, plain & simple ... m'fer looks like a reincarnation of Kenny Dryden out there, for crissake ... he's what? 6' 5"? Tough series, that's for sure.

How 'bout that hit on Hossa? Normally, on a play like that I just say, "keep your head up", but Torres' skates did leave the ice so he gets a well-deserved suspension.

I just want to say how pleasantly surprised I am on how wrong I was about the Kings. Outside of Philly destroying pitt, it's my feel good story of the playoffs.

Rinne has been tough, and I agree that Preds are just as good and are outplaying Det. After the non-goal they could've shut down, and after Kronwall's laser they could've quit, but they kept coming back. That goal by Klein, however, was horrible. Three defenders AND Howard all follow Erat to the corner leaving Klein ridiculously open.

As an OLD Flyer fan, I still have nightmares about Dryden. Those old Canadian teams were so good, and were the epitome of good sportsmanship. The current diving, grabbing (and sucking) Habs team pales in comparison.

Yeah, the Wings' lack of presence in front of their own net and in front of Nashville's net has been noticeable this series, it's not like in playoffs past. Howard, while not spectacular, is playing good enough to win, just not getting any help out front, and he's definitely being outplayed by Rinne. I'm hoping the 'throw everything at the net and hope something goes in' strategy works out for them in Game 5 ... loved the Montreal/Philadelphia rivalry in the '70s, Bernie Parent was no slouch either ... seemed like if Montreal wasn't winning the Cup back then, Philly was, .

We could always go with Tim's (Jeff's brother) new pholosophy. "Not allow any shots on goal...I'm not joking" His goalies have been so bad that they have only been allowing around 12 shots on goal per game...(and often still losing lol). IDK how they do it, but they do it

Ouch. The Flyers need 1 game to win it, and the Penguins go ahead and put on a clinic. 10-3 final. Sad thing...only one goal was scored in the 3rd.

I could not believe every station I have carried the Rangers/Senators game (or basketball), WTF? How 'bout a little variety from the networks, eh? And then what happens? Penguins don't get swept, Canucks don't get swept, WTF again? For crissake, can you put us out of our misery, Pittsburgh/Vancouver?

Now, I'm not alarmed at what the Penguins did to the Flyers, they're still down 3 games to 1 and they aren't making a miraculous comeback ... Vancouver might, Pittsburgh won't ... but then again, Vancouver won't either ... IDK what happened to the Flyers, but these were the Penguins I expected to see in Game 1, not Game 4 ... too little, too late, I'm afraid.

Looking at the boxscore, seems like the Flyers had trouble staying out of the box and Pittsburgh made them pay with (7) PP goals ... it happens. Other then Pittsburgh on the power-play, my biggest concern about Philly was Bryzgalov, having seen how the RedWings rattled him the previous two playoffs in Phoenix and knowing his backup in Philly was Bobrovsky ... you almost have to expect something like this to happen on occassion.

But Philly will regroup, regain composure, return to their game and that will be the end of the Penguins.
