... the Wings would take him if they could get him, just like they took Todd Bertuzzi, Wendall Clark, Larry Murphy, Mike Madono, Luc Robataille, Dominic Hasik, Chris Chelios, Curtis Joseph, Terry Murphy, Frank Mahovolich, Eddie Giacomin, Mike Vernon, Paul Coffey, and so on ... you always want a guy like that on your team & I'd take that talent for our locker room in a hockey-minute, .

Oh, I have no doubt that they would take him if available...I (and MANY others) just don't want him here.

Crosby is perhaps the only person more hated (depending where you go) than Bertuzzi. I'll admit, he has his fans, but so does Bertuzzi (most of them here in Michigan). Modano only came here to play at least 1 season with Detroit before he retired...kinda like Larry Foote did with the Lions. Difference is, Foote is still playing; he wasn't as close to retirement as Modano, who entered the NHL 2 years before Hanson stepped onto the field for the Lions.

Idk if you saw (probably did), one of my boss'; his brother stepped down from the Wings to coach in GR. He felt that was his best shot to coach an NHL team, and he got to stay with Detroit. Win-win for him
