Five years and three months since the Americans last traveled to Amsterdam to test themselves against Oranje in preparation for a major tournament, they took an improbable 4-3 win in a chaotic, topsy-turvy game at the Amsterdam Arena on Friday. As such, they avenged the 2-1 loss they suffered there in the run-up to the 2010 World Cup, even if they were overrun all the same.
