FAVORITE OR MOST MEMORABLE ALBUM/ALBUMS?
Physical Graffitti Led Zeppelin for me.John Bonham was arguably the best rock solid drummer to ever live!
|
I would have to start at:
SGT Peppers (I could sing this whole album by age 8) Axis Bold as Love (If you don't know who this is, I feel sorry for you; Google it: Buy it: Enjoy) Pink Floyd (The Wall) No words can describe Van Halen I - 1984(Intro into rock.. the rest is history) Johnny Cash (Live at Folsom) GREAT! Lynard Skynard (Just Pick any album) Makes you wish you were from the South (For all you Yankees) George Jones (one song everyone needs to hear..."The Grand Tour" Greatest country song, EVER!) Conway Twitty (another one song you must here... "That's My Job") Shout at the Devil (Motley Crue) and Number of the Beast (Iron Maiden) These two opened me up to Metal. RUSH (Moving Pictures) AWESOME, PERIOD! The Smiths (One more one song you must hear..."How soon is Now") The 80's is alive! The Dead Kennedys (In God we Trust/Crash Course in Brain Surgery) JELLO at his best! Metallica (Kill em all, Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets and Justice) enough said. Testament (Live at the Filmore) this is the only Testament album you need it's PERFECT! Alice in Chains (Facelift, SAP, Dirt, "Dog Album", Jar of Files, Music Box) Everyone should own these. |
Sapper knows good music..It's a slash(GNR) thread:doh: best drummer/album..what was I thinking..I wasn't

Sapper, did you know that Roger Waters is currently touring, doing the Wall? I was supposed to go see him in Houston this upcoming Saturday, but had to sell my tickets... barring a miracle sometime this week, I'll probably never get the chance to see it.
And in St. Thomas's defense, I loved Thriller (when I was 8 years old:)). |

Metallica - Metallica (The black album)
I know som people don't like any Metallica album after "And justice for all" but this album is their most even one, all songs are really good and could have been singles. Enter Sandman Sad But True The Unforgiven |
|
AC/DC Highway to Hell is way up there. It is the only actual AC/DC album I own.
If AC/DC were a cow, Highway to Hell is the filet mignon. Highway to Hell |
I'm a big fan of Lupe Fiasco, gotta say that his album "The Cool" is legendary, the messages he gets across with his lyrics are incredible.

A very great Van Halen album that is hugely overlooked is Fair Warning. 1984 is my Favorite but Fair Warning is by a hair in second place.
I also forgot to put.... Duran Duran: RIO (I wish I could cuss here, because the bass line through that whole song is MOTHERPLUCKIN AWESOME!) If you don't believe me...try and play it, just listen to the whole song listening to the bass player only. |

BOSTON!!Epic album in my opinion
|
The two albums that I've probably spent the most time listening to are pf's Animals and The Division Bell. Also The Final Cut.
I grew up in the 90's; I'd have to say that the most distinctive record I owned from that era was primus- The Brown Album. |
My name is mud!lol Les Claypool is pretty frikkin phenomenal!
