Outrageous party. We were in the Doubletree. Good age groups, late 20's up lot of 30s 40s 50s, and there was one full office from Lafayette. They never left the dance floor, Did a second line, greatly appreciated the Louisiana theme, and even did a Who Dat chant, when I casually mentioned I was on my way to the Dome.
Actually had a zydeco artist, Kevin Naquin, stop by, and I surprised him with some of his own songs. That was classic. He works with the company I was playing for. Played Rosie, Clifton, and a number of classic artists too. Boozoo went over hugely. Not only was it a lot of fun, but I must say the guests knew how to party and could actually handle their alcohol, rather than turning into the amateurs I see often at holiday parties. |
