Favorite Beatles Tune

So, I have to confess I only recently 'got' the Beatles. My mother, of course, was a big fan. She graduated HS in 1959, so it's her era and all.

For a long time I looked at the Beatles as simplistic. Of course I've come to understand over the last few years just how moronic that view of their music really is.

Still, I haven't become some Beatles maniac or anything, but over the last few years I've listened to a LOT more of their music and have come to have a much more accurate (in my opinion) opinion of them.

There are SO many Beatles tunes that we all know and love. Picking a favorite is next to impossible, but I thought I'd ping the folks here and see which songs you guys feel most attached to.

I'm not sure this is my favorite, but it's in the top 5:

I remember all our sisters were huge beatles fans... so guys tended not to like them back them. Somewhere between bubblegum pop and a chick band.

I was more into actual rock, personally. Hendrix, etc...

I kinda like the Revolver era... the White Album has some good stuff too.

To each their own, don't get me wrong. I don't rightly care what people listen to... well, except that rap crap.

I've got buttloads of Fab4 vinyl.

People say they are worth a lot, but that simply isn't true. (reissues, etc)

Apportez le bois. Deux cela. Qui est celui?

I've always cherry picked the Beatles music. I love some songs and other of their hits just don't do much for me.

But I guess I can narrow it down to two fave songs ... Day Tripper (has some of the most infectious riffs and hooks ever written) and Tomorrow Never Knows (so expiremental and prototype-industrial, way before it's time)

Awesome post! I love the Beatles. If you ever get to Vegas, and you want to see a great show, PLEASE see the Cirque Du Soleil Beatles show which is called "Love." It's worth every penny.

My top five would probably be:
1. A Day in the Life
2. Here Comes the Sun
3. Let It Be
4. Eleanor Rigby
5. Don't Let Me Down

And so so so many great other ones. Too many to count.
