Hey, guys...I'm gonna go a little off-topic here because it is slow and it is the offseason...and after I have made my comment I will come in and try to throw the thread back on track...however...this is what I have been thinking.
I have spent most of my life in America. I have traveled to places like Canada, Mexico, Carribean (Haiti, Dominican Republic)...I even went to Australia once. Why I'm telling you this I haven't a clue because it does not pertain at all to my thought. Anyway...recently I traveled to South Korea. I was there for a couple of months with one month home between the 2 months. I was told when I was there that Korea is 5000 years old. That is a big number. I thought about that thing... USA is around 235 years...declaring independance in 1776 from England. I have no idea how old England is. America discovered in 1492, 519 years ago, by Columbus but everybody knows that the American Indian was here before Chris got here...and then there was the Vikings. The thing that is curious here, for me, is that the Koreans were over there just on the other side of the Pacific for around 4500 years before that. I just can't help but wonder why nobody over there decided to get in a boat and just "sail east". I guess they were afraid to fall off the edge. But...getting back to Korea. 5000 years. I had no idea. When you think about it, our present date is 5/2/2011 AD. The AD means anno domino or translates as "in the year of our lord"...or something like that. So...that means that Jesus walked the earth a little over 2000 years ago. The Koreans had been around for 3000 years before that. Wow! I know there is probably rich culture and history about other countries that I have no idea about because I haven't been there...and if all this was covered in history class...I must have been sleeping. Thought over. Carry-on. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

Man...you are a piece of work. This is suppose to be a place that is flexible...or is it. We all claim that we come here because it is so "easy going". What are you trying to do? Do you have an agenda here? Do you want full control?

OK boss. Nobody can question that you are doing a great job of "keeping on top of things!" Do you sleep?
