Re: Vintage Gibson Guitar
Man, I saw this and I couldn't believe it! Then I saw it was Detroit Metropolitan Airport & it all made sense. I can tell you horror stories about that place. If I have to fly now, I'll book out of Chicago more often than not.

Re: Vintage Gibson Guitar
^^^THIS^^^
I own a Vintage 1959 Gibson - belonged to my Grandpa who made some records with it on the AllStar Label that year. Would I EVER check it when traveling on an airplane? Are you HIGH? Seriously. ARE YOU ON DOPE? Hell, I own a low-end Washburn (great sounding guitar) acoustic/electric, a low end Takamine (great sounding guitar) acoustic/electric, and the Slash Epiphone (made in the image of the Gibson Les Paul) that's worth about 1000 bucks on a good day. I WOULD NEVER CHECK ANY OF THEM...NOT EVER. Because that'd just be stupid. I feel for the owner of the Guitar. Truly I do. But at the end of the day... THAT IS JUST STUPID. |
C'mon Man...

Re: Vintage Gibson Guitar
That's heart breaking. Every Gibson Les Paul has it's unique identity, she'll never be the same. Freaking Delta for ya! There's no way I'd settle for $1980 either, they'd be giving me the full value plus %20 for the trouble!
