Re: Kid Rock: I'm Embarrassed to Be a Republican
Yes he reduced his tickets to $20 and his concert T-Shirts from $40 to $20, and now he's selling twice as many. I appreciate the point he is trying to make, concert tickets (like any sporting event ticket) have gotten to be ridiculous. You can almost buy the artists whole musical library for the cost of one ticket.

Re: Kid Rock: I'm Embarrassed to Be a Republican
Ticket brokers went online & bought 'em up in the first few minutes, turned around and put 'em back up for sale at ridiculous prices. A lot of people who stood in line for hours didn't even have a chance to buy tickets. His heart is in the right place, maybe he just didn't think it through ...

To be honest I wish I'd spent the money on it. But there are very VERY few entertainers I'd spend that kinda money on. The short list would be: Van Halen (Who wouldn't want to shake Eddies hand?) The Eagles (Who wouldn't want to have a laugh with Joe and Glen and Don?) George Strait (Who wouldn't want to hang for a while with the best Country singer who ever lived?) And Kevin Welch. I'm considering a couple grand to attend his songwriter's thing he does at his home in Texas, but I guess that's kinda different. It'd probably be worth it, 'cause right now I doubt I could write a decent kid's song. LOL |
