I know everybody knows his name, but he's always been underrated/under-respected in my humble opinion, and now he's gone.

No way to replace him either...

Now that was real New Orleans music and good music and what kind of music the city should be known for.
His counterpart , Dave Bartholmew , who wrote all those good songs is still alive, but very elderly. He is in his early or mid 90s'. I think his health is so-so.
DaveB is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland , Ohio too.
