Eddie was probably why a lot of musicians picked up a guitar. From Bill and Ted's excellent adventure to Michael Jackson's solo (BEAT IT) ... Eddie all day. Fabulous guitarist.

IMO he went from living legend to LEGEND. His music will live on forever. Prayers to his family.

Him and Jimi are my reasons for picking it up. Was never good at it though, lol. So I picked up bass and got really good at that, go figure, lol

This sucks. 2020 just refuses to let up. One of the greatest to ever pick up a guitar, gone way too soon. RIP Eddie.

I was never a huge fan but still have lots of memories of my youth tied up in those Van Halen songs and brand. Even their logo. I can't imagine how hard this is for the devoted Van Halen fan. Glad he is no longer suffering and my regards to his friends and family.
