Pick number 7!
The 49ers are now on the clock with the 7th pick in the NFL Draft:
I am assuming that the Raiders will win the coin flip and the 49ers will get the 7th. My Choice is: Eric Winston, OT, Miami You now have 24 hours to make your choices and please make a comment. I will use a randomly selected comment for each pick. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia was voted the pick for the Raiders at number 6. |

RE: Pick number 7!
San Fran had the WORST D in the league. It's time to pick a highly rated defensive player to build that up.

I agree san fran had the worst D in the league, but they were middle of the road in run D. Isn't Bryant Young still playing DE in san fran? If so I think they should go elsewhere. The pass D was dead last and they are starting two chumps at corner. I think they get Michael Huff from Texas but judging from where I've seen him projected they would have to drop a few spots and maybe add a pick to their draft. Oh, and Delaware representin, nice to see BJSim, I just moved out south jersey.

RE: Pick number 7!
Oh I agree their run D wasn't bad but their DE's has 10-12 year experience, it's time for young blood & Williams is the best player on the board. Young and Williams on that line would be tough to stop. I thought of making my suggestion a drop in possition to pick up a DB but then you have to decide with which team and then what THAT team would need. Just too lazy

I like the 49ers to take Michael Huff, safety, from Texas. The 49ers need help in their secondary and Huff has the cover skills of a cb and he's a very good tackler. He would be a great addition to a 49er's defense who couldn't stop anyone last year.

Chad Greenway. I know it might a little high for him, but the 49ers will probably lose Julian Peterson, who is a UFA (a fact I hope the Saints know).

RE: Pick number 7!
It makes sense to me that San Fran goes defensive line. I haven't seen Mario Williams play, so I don't know if he is as good as everyone says. The best defensive end that I have seen is Tamba Hali from Penn State. If Williams is that much better, he is the man.
San Fran - Mario Williams DE NCState Edit: I just remembered... 49ers are running a 3-4. I don't know how Williams fits in this system. They may want a LB or NT or go with the secondary. SF - Michael Huff DB Texas |
