New Orleans Saints take Linebacker Martez Wilson in 3rd Round
Wilson the best inside linebacker prospect available and has a great combination of both size and speed at 6'4", 250 lbs and a 40 time of 4.42 seconds. He knows how to use his size and has an excellent understanding of football.
There are already a few young linebackers on the roster in Tavares Gooden and Dannell Ellerbe, however, none have proven they can carry the workload once Lewis calls it quits.
Wilson's presence on the roster will give them another young talent to possible groom to replace Lewis.
