RIP VJax. The circumstances of his death seem very sad. I hope they find some answers about what happened, feel bad for his family.

RIP, that’s a shame I’m the same age as him. So he was way too young to go. Hopefully it was no foul play. Prayers and condolences to the family.

I heard there was no indication of foul play. I heard him being interviewed on NFL Radio about a week or so ago.

Vincent Jackson died from chronic alcohol use, medical examiner says

The autopsy report revealed that Jackson suffered from alcoholic cardiomyopathy, hepatic steatosis and fibrosis, esophageal varices, ascites, jaundice, remote pancreatitis, renal failure and hyponatremia dehydration, cardiovascular disease and intoxication by ethyl alcohol -- all consistent with chronic alcohol use. The medical examiner found that he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.28%.

So sad. He never got the help he needed. It couldn't have gone unnoticed.

Really tough to digest.

Vincent was a dawg WR - dying alone in a hotel room due to alcohol addiction. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Jackson family.

This is truly sad to read.

CTE is being thrown out as cause to him being an alcoholic.

Regardless, very sad. The young man leaves w very young family of 2-3 kids with his wife.
