Here the University of Utah works closely with the Ute tribe. The tribe has the right to pull the plug on anything the University does that they might find offensive. I don't know that it's ever come up. Otherwise, polls here show the tribe is proud of being the mascot.

How bout the Atlanta Falcons they truly give a very proud and majestic bird a bad name.
I and many others here could surely come up with another name for this team. Only problem is our Mods would be working overtime with some of the suggested names. |
