Yeah, right. I can understand why you were never on a debate team.

I gave you extremely good reasons why fixing games in the NFL would never fly. Real reasons. You float out fairytale perceptions. You need more tin foil? You can get it bulk at Sam's Club.

You can add LOL to your posts all you want Guido it doesn’t give the argument any additional merit. Your analogy is quite wrong. we both could look at the sky and agree on the color. What we saw in this last football game was clearly a call that should have been made regarding offensive PI. That is looking at the sky and agreeing on the color. Do you disagree that an offensive PI should’ve been called on that last Tampa drive? If not, then you don’t know football. If so, then That is agreeing with me on the sky color.

If you think that was a PI that should have been called on tampa, like I do, the. the question is why it was not called. You say incompetence, I say designed. Neither has more validity than the other. Neither has more proof than the other. You are arrogant and incorrect when you compare your position to asserting the sky is blue. But haters gonna hate.

Yes. It probably should have been called. There are many OPI's that are not called in the NFL. But, that in no way makes it fixed or rigged as you claim. That is what is so laughable. You try to associate poor officiating with a league wide conspiracy to fix outcomes. Please.

The officials in the NFL are part time. The game moves fast. They are going to make mistakes. OPI is just one of those calls that is under enforced. There's nothing nefarious about that.

I gave you several concrete reasons why fixing NFL games would be virtually impossible in today's world.

Your concrete reasons are paper thin.

My concrete reasons are completely logical and based in fact. The NFL has nothing to gain and everything to lose by rigging games. The NFL receives the same revenue regardless of who wins any given game. It is the networks that benefit by better matchups. However, a scandal involving fixing games could cost them billions and land dozens of individuals in the federal pen.

As I also pointed out, gambling authorities have divisions that do nothing but investigate possible improprieties including fixing of games. That's basically what brought down the referee scandal in the NBA several years ago.

There is even a greater reason why it is impossible to get away with fixing games. Every official would have to be in on it. Everyone in the league office would have to be involved. Everyone would have to keep it secret. You know that is impossible.

I understand the frustration, but it is not because the games are rigged. It is the officiating. Pure and simple. And I will readily admit THAT is on the NFL and could be addressed by fulltime officials and greater use of replay.

Wrong again. It’s just not worth the effort. Ratings drive the league. The league ratings soar when certain teams/players win. It’s not rocket science. You would argue against one plus one equaling two.
